By now you have probably signed up for a Contnt account and want to get going as a Creator. We get it though, new platforms can be a bit confusing. To make things as simple as possible, we’ve created this easy-to-follow FAQ guide to steer you in the right direction and minimize the fuss.

To make things as simple as possible, we’ve created this easy-to-follow FAQ guide to steer you in the right direction and minimize the fuss. So let’s dive in:

How Do I Get Started?

To onboard as a Contnt creator after you have signed-up to Contnt.io, click on the circular account icon on the top right of the main page and select Settings. Here you will need to fully set up your account so that you can begin posting as a creator:

1. Add a photograph as your avatar. Select the camera overlay on the image, which will allow you to upload an image from your computer desktop or phone photoreel. Ensure that the image is of high quality – either of yourself or a recognisable image that relates to your online persona. 

2. Add a display name. This is the name that will show up on your hub page. Choose this carefully, as once the full platform launches you will be restricted on how many times you can change it. Either use your name, or again something that relates to your online persona. 

3. Add your username. Slightly different from a display name, the username is a moniker that will be associated with your hub. This is the name that people will be able to search on the site to find you, and also added to the end of a URL if people try to search for you on the web. 

4. Add in your social links. At least one of these is required in addition to KYC to become a creator for the purpose of external verification purposes. 

5. Choose your resident country. This can be easily selected from the alphabetical dropdown list. If you are nomadic, choose the country to which your passport is associated. 

6. Fill out your bio. This will be viewable on your hub page, so try and be as informative and interesting as possible. The better this is filled out, the more likely people will be to view your content and subscribe!

7. Select A Category. Choose the niches that best fit your particular areas of expertise – up to three. At the moment there are only a few to choose from, but these will grow rapidly over time. If your particular category isn’t there, don’t worry. Just select something else, as you can change this later. 

8. Click Save. When you are finished you can either preview how things will look, or click save to finish up the first stages of creator onboarding!

How do I set my Subscription Prices and Finalize?

Setting subscription prices for your content is a straightforward process. Here are the final steps to becoming a Creator:

1. Click Finance. Still on the settings page, click the Finance tab on the left-hand side toolbar.  

2. Select Payment Settings. Near the top right of the page, choose Payment Settings. 

3. Set Your Monthly Price. In the empty box you will be able to set the monthly price that fans will have to pay to access your content. This is in USD and has to be a minimum of $0.50c. There is no maximum dollar value that you can charge, but we do recommend not pricing too high as it might limit the number of subscribers you get. 

4. Upload KYC and Verify. Once finished, select Create Account. At this point you will be prompted to upload identification to verify your identity. Once submitted, within 24 hours you will receive a response. If successful, you will have on-boarded as a Creator and be ready to post and earn!

How do I Post My First Piece of Content?

To post your first piece of content to the platform, simply do the following:

1. Select My Profile. Click your account button at the top right of the homepage and choose My Profle.

  1. Select New Post. Near your profile image choose the option New Post.
  2. Fill out the Pop-up Box. Populate the blank areas, including Title of Post, Description and whether the post is FREE (available to all), PREMIUM (Pay to View), or SUBSCRIBE (available to subscribers only). Lastly click Upload to choose the appropriate content from your desktop or mobile.
  3. Click Create Post. This will finalise the process and upload your content ready for people to engage with!
